[10/02/2026][POETRY]Five Tales from the Museum of Jurassic Technology
by Isabelle Newson
1.
Outside a trailer van,
Barefoot and untrammeled.
Glass shards splinter dog paws.
Dogs lick their own wounds.
Evolving the space of dwelling.
2.
A Ram is slain at the altar.
A Bull sips ale and bites bread over the altar.
Rams are slain for sinning.
Bulls become sin-eaters.
3.
Buy an ant farm.
Extract their eggs,
Cure being in love, and place one under your tongue.
4.
Horses smell war,
Galloping Westward to let soldiers die.
5.
An owl’s hoo proves distress derives from passion and only passion.
