A Word on Submissions…

Midcult* is the bridge between “high” and “low” art. We hope to find some earnest truth somewhere in-between.

We are currently only accepting submissions for the Midcult* Dispatch vol. 3. We will be considering submissions of fiction & poetry & essays & visual art & reviews & interviews until May 29, 2026. General submissions will reopen on July 1, 2026.

The theme of this Dispatch is “Frauds & Impersonations.” Interpret that how you will.

Poetry submissions can be sent to poetry@midcult.net.

Prose submissions (fiction, essays, reviews, etc.) can be sent to prose@midcult.net

Art submissions and well wishes can be sent to midcult@midcult.net.

We prefer previously unpublished work, but will consider work for publication online if it has only previously appeared in print.
If work is accepted, Midcult* receives first serial or digital rights (depending on the medium of publication) and non-exclusive archival rights. All authors retain the intellectual property of their work, and rights will revert to the author upon publication.

We will respond to every submission, but we receive many so please allow for 6-8 weeks.

We look forward to hearing from you.
