Three Poems by James Milanesi
deadtooth
oh, rickety tooth
hooked in my mouth!
A reminder of all things
rotten. I imagine it collected
with your pearly molars, tucked
away in your trinket box, with your
shelf of pink books. My poor rickety
tooth. I massage the gap as I
tear the seams,
bleed all in the sheets
crank
aroused by fate
archaic in nature
the tv’s right
it’s 80 degrees in autumn
reproducing is meaningless
for many reasons
JAMES MILANESI is a Philadelphian poet who is retroactively late for work. He is the curator and founder of Poets Row. His latest chapbook, Momentary Sweetheart, is published with Bottlecap Press.
